New project on Muslim legal practices in Sweden

Impact researchers Mosa Sayed ( Law at Uppsala University) and Pia Karlsson Minganti (Department of Ethnology, Stockholm University) recently obtained funds for research from the Ragnar Söderberg Foundation, in order to study Muslim legal practices in Sweden.

The interdisciplinary project on law, religion and migration: the Muslim dissolution of marriage in Sweden brings together a legal perspective and an anthropological approach. The project will focus on the activities of some Muslim religious communities and study their role in the dissolution of marriage through religious divorces.
